Chimp Tracking: 6 days:Murchison - Kibale - Queen NPs
Day 1: Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda
At 0700 hours, you will be picked up from your hotel in Kampala. Drive along Masaka Road and stop over at Mpigi crafts and the Equator crossing. As you drive down to the park , stop for good scenery point of the rift valley and Rwenzori mountains foot hills then you will arrive at lunch time. Have lunch and take a drive around the crater regions and Katwe Salt lakes.
Dinner and over night at Mweya safari lodge or the institute of Ecology.
Day 2: Kazinga Channel, Uganda
Very early in the morning, your guide will pick you from your hotel and drive you along the Kasenyi track for your morning game drive in search for animals like Lions, bush bucks, water bucks, leopards, elephants, antelopes, the legendary giant Hog, buffaloes, , the Uganda Kob and the many bird species like the martial eagle, the African fish eagle, the papyrus gonolek and many more. Note that given the fact that the game drive is done through the natural habitats of these animals , it is not a guarantee that you will encounter all of them. However an encounter of many of the is a worthwhile. Return to the lodge for breakfast lunch and assemble at the Kazinga channel bank for you next activity the which will be the launch cruise along the channel. This exposes you to a variety of aquatic- mammals like a school of Hippos , crocodiles and many bird species . An encounter of a yawning hippo is an awesome experience.
Retire back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Kibale Forest, Uganda
Take breakfast and drive to Kibale national park. This park is a home to 12 species of primates including chimpanzees and Chimpanzee tracking is the main theme of the park.
On arrival, you will take a visit to the crater region and have lunch. In the afternoon, you will assemble at Kanyankyu tourist centre for guides briefing and later Spend time searching for Chimpanzees and other primates in Kibale Forest.
Dinner and overnight at Luxurious Ndali lodge / Rwenzori view guest house or Kanyankyu tourist centre.
Day 4: Kibale - Murchison Falls, Uganda
Drive through the verdant country sides and traditional homesteads of Fort portal, via Hoima through the Albertine rift . Have lunch at Masindi or en route the proceed to the biggest park in Uganda; Murchison Falls national Park.
Dinner and overnight at Nile safari camps / Paraa Lodge for Luxury , Sambiya River lodge or Red Chillis camp.
Day 5: Murchison Falls, Uganda
Wake up for an early morning game drive which will expose you to giraffes, antelopes, , elephants, buffaloes, lions and many bird species. Return to the lodge have break fast , lunch and then in the after noon, your will assemble on the launch for your launch cruise to the bottom of the Murchison falls where water plunges from a wide gorge 50 meteres deep and passes through a narrow gorge 7 metres wide. This is Exhilarating. The launch cruise exposes you to a wide range of bird, hippos, crocodiles and many other fauna.
Retire back to the lodge for dinner and over night.
Day 6: Drive back to Kampala.
There is an optional activity of chimpanzee tracking in Kaniyo Pabidi. So interested clients are advised to inform us in case they are interested so that we provide the rates.
