3 days:Ngamba Island - Chimpanzee Adventure

Approximately 23 km southeast of Entebbe lies Ngamba Island. The Island is approximately 45 ha in size, covered with tropical rainforest, containing over 50 species of plants utilized by chimpanzees as their habitat. Orphaned or captured chimpanzees can not just be released back into the wild as they are likely to be rejected, injured or killed by other chimpanzees. Ngamba Island offers them a sanctuary that closely resembles life in the wild and an alternative for visitors to view the chimpanzees in their forest habitats in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
The Island accommodates approximately 40 chimpanzees.

To have this opportunity of visiting these chimps you are advised to take prior immunization and tests. For further details, please contact us. The playful chimps can entertain you for a day as you are free to walk as they hold your hand and making some sounds and signs as they communicate.
