5 Days: Gorilla and chimpanzee tracking

Day 1
In the morning transfer to Entebbe to reach in time for the morning boat ride to Ngamba Island the Chimpanzee Sanctuary on Lake Victoria. Managed by the Jane Good all Institute It habituates about 35 chimpanzees that are helpless in the wild. You will reach in time for their feeding to spend some time with them. In the afternoon you will go for a nature walk on the Island. Later on you will be transferred back to Entebbe. Dinner and overnight at the Botanical beach Hotel / Resort beach

Day 2
Drive from Entebbe to head west of Uganda-Bwindi Impenetrable forest. You will have a lunch stop and then proceed to reach in the late afternoon. You will be welcomed by the nieghbouring local communities with cultural performances. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla resort / Buhoma tented Camp.

Day 3 & 4
Go for briefing at the park headquarters before you embarking on the main activity in the park-gorilla tracking. This will start at 9:00 am and you will walk /trail through the forest tracks that are steep and therefore you should ask for a walking stick if you need one. This is a strenuous activity but the ecstasy obtained on encountering these humble giants erases the poor memories you went through trying to find the find these apes. The time its takes to meet mans’ close relatives is unpredictable but it ranges between 2-8 hours depending on their movement. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla forest Camp / Buhoma Community Bandas.

Day 5
After these exhilarating moments in the wild we have to go back to the city. Transfer to Kampala to have a lunch stop in one of the towns of your wish. Another stop will be at the Equator for photographs to reach in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Hotel Africana / Sheraton Hotel / Serena Hotel.
