5 days: Gorilla Tour To Uganda And Rwanda
Day 1
Your private safari guide will meet you and drive west to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Have a stop over at the Equator for a cup of coffee and also take some photos. You will then continue to Mbarara town where you will stop for lunch before heading through the grasslands of Ankole. Here you will enjoy the prominent long horned cattle before proceeding to the highlands of Kigezi referred to as the ‘Switzerland of Africa’. You will arrive in Bwindi in time for dinner
Dinner and overnight at Volcanoes Lodge/Lake Kitandara camp/Gorilla Resort/Buhoma homestead/Buhoma community Bandas.
Day 2
After a heavy breakfast, report to the staging area where you will be briefed by your ranger guide. Tracking the Gorillas through the thick forest is a thrilling experience. If you are lucky you can get to see the gorillas, spend 1 hour with them, and be back at the lodge in time for dinner.
Remember to carry with you packed lunch, enough water as this activity is so tiring, its also important to bring good hiking boots and long trousers for protection against stinging nettles.

Day 3
Following breakfast, you will depart to Rwanda. You will pass through the Ankole region, where you see the typical Ankole cattle, coffee plantations and the different vegetations of Uganda, up to the terraced and cultivated hills of the Kigezi region, best known as "the Switzerland of Africa". Kisoro is positioned at the base of Muhavura volcano at the borders between Uganda, Rwanda and Congo. Continue past the border and reach Ruhengeri in Rwanda in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 4
After breakfast, report to the park station for briefing after which set off in the forest for Gorilla trekking. Gorilla trekking is so exhausting but enjoyable. Carry with you a parked lunch and plenty of water. The excitement of your coming across with these calm giants will wipe away your complexity of the potentially strenuous trek. Spend time watching gorillas, watch the adults feeding their young ones, brushing and resting as the youngsters play from vines in a pleasingly playful display. Return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5
After breakfast drive back to Kampala. Lunch en route arriving in the early evening.
