Luxury Gorilla Safari 12 Days: Private Safari Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive at Entebbe International airport to meet Access Africa Safaris guide who will transfer you to the proposed Hotel. Depending on the time of arrival you may go vista some interesting places in Kampala or Entebbe. Places like the botanical gardens, the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, the Kasubi tombs, the Namugongo Martyrs shrine and many more. Dinner and overnight at Serena Hotel / Sheraton Hotel / Hotel Africana
Day 2
Have breakfast to Transfer to Murchison falls National to arrive in the early afternoon. You will reach the top of the falls where the park derives its name. Here the placid Nile forces its self through a narrow gorge to fall a distance of 150 ft producing a thunderous roar and white water. It is stunning! You will then transfer to catch the jetty to Paraa lodge. Watch out for game enroute. Dinner and overnight at Luxurious Paraa Safari Lodge/Midrange Sambiya River lodge/Budget Red Chili Camp (Full Board).
Day 3
Have breakfast to go Chimpanzee tracking in The Kaniyo Pabidi forest- undisturbed area of a natural forest with Budongo forest reserve. The walk will also reward you with other primates, birds and microorganisms. Retire from the tracking for lunch at the park to go for an afternoon boat ride on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls. This boat trip will reward you with game like hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, birds like King Fishers, the rare shoebill, pelicans and many more. Dinner and overnight at Luxurious Paraa Safari Lodge/Midrange Sambiya River lodge/Budget Red Chili Camp (Full Board)
Day 4
Have breakfast and with packed lunch drive to Kibale National park. The journey will reward you with sceneries of Lake Albert, and the Albert rift to arrive in Fort Portal the district surrounded by the Rwenzori Mountains - an in interesting scenery on a clear day. You will arrive in the evening to dine and spend the night at Ndali Lodge / Rwenzori View Guest House/ Kanyankyu Ecological.
Day 5
Go for chimpanzee tracking in the park after breakfast. Kibale National Park is known to habituate the greatest number of primates in Africa. Therefore you will be able to view other primates like red and blue colobus monkey, the rare L’Hoest, the grey Mangabeys, pottos, bush babies and baboons. In the afternoon you will go for walk at the Bigodi wetland a sanctuary to view unique flora and fauna. Dinner and overnight at Ndali Lodge/ Rwenzori View Guest House/Kanyankyu Ecological site (FB)
Day 6
Take breakfast to transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park to enter through the crater area region. It offer nice sceneries of beautiful lakes and rich grassland set deep in the crater valley- the astounding scenery. You will reach in the afternoon to go for an evening a game drives in the park. This drive will reward you with game like buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, bush bucks, and many more. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 7
Go for chimpanzee tracking after breakfast in the Kyambura Gorge. You will retire from the chimpanzee tracking for lunch at the lodge and then later in the afternoon go for a boat trip on the Kazinga channel. The shores of the channel will reward you with game like hippos, buffaloes, and plenty of water birds such the kingfishers, pelicans, storks and many more. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 8
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. You will drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth to watch out for tree climbing Lions enroute. Bwindi is known to be a home of Gorillas, with great fauna and flora too. Known for its Albertine endemics Bwindi is also a sole home for birders. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort / Buhoma community Bandas.
Day 9
Have breakfast to go for briefing at the park headquarters before you set off to the forest for gorilla tracking. It is hard to determine the time it will take before you encounter the Gorillas. However the time range is between 2-8 hours depending on the movement of these humble giants. You will trail through steep slopes. Encountering gorillas erases the poor memories you went through in trying to find them. The Gorillas are awe-inspiring.

Day 10
Early in the morning have breakfast and then drive off to Kampala stopping in one of the towns for lunch. You will also have a stop at the Equator and then proceed to reach in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Serena Hotel / Sheraton Hotel / Hotel Africana.
Day 11
Have breakfast to go transfer to the Entebbe Jetty to take you to Ngamba Island. You will leave at 9: 00 am to reach in time for feeding the chimpanzees such that you can spend time with them. In the afternoon go for a forest walk along with the young chimpanzees to search for unique flora and fauna. After the walk transfer to Entebbe back to your Hotel in Kampala.
Day 12
Depending on your time of departure you may go vista some places, in Kampala. Places like Bahai temple, Uganda Museum and many more. You will then be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home.
