Wildlife Africa 3 days:Safari To Semliki Wildlife Reserve
Day 1
After early breakfast, you will be picked up from your Hotel and depart by road for Semliki Wildlife Reserve situated in the basin of the Western Rift Valley. This scenic drive takes approx 6-7 hours and will take you down the eastern side of Lake Albert. You will go on a night drive as the Reserve is the only place in Uganda where you can do a spot lit night drive with sights of big cats, the diminutive genet and serval cats. Chimps exist next to elephant, lion, buffalo, nocturnal dwellers such as the white tailed mongoose and slender mongoose, standard and pennant winged nightjars depending on the time of year. There are always surprises on the night drives.
Overnight at Semliki safari Lodge/Kanyankyu Ecological site (FB)
Day 2
An early morning game drive will give you a different perspective on the park and animals in it. Return to the Lodge for a late, but leisurely breakfast. After breakfast climb aboard the vehicle with a packed lunch for a boat trip on Lake Albert to see the incredible and rare Shoebill, visually a cross between a dodo and a dinosaur. The lake which provide a great picnic spot, and several fishing villages along the way, virtually untouched by the ‘western world’. The lake is superb. There are sand cliffs where brightly colored colonies of red-throated bee-eaters dart in and out of their burrows, there are waterfalls several kilometers up.
Drive back to the Lodge through the acacia savannah, with a view of different species of raptors and passerines.

Day 3
After breakfast, leave for Kampala, driving through the attractive green countryside eventually ascending the Western Rift Valley to Fort Portal and arriving Kampala late afternoon.
