4 days: Ssese Islands Vacation

Day 1

After a short briefing by your guide, you will head west to Masaka stopping en-route at the Equator to take photos. We will continue stopping at Brovad Hotel in Masaka for lunch.

From here, we will proceed to Bukakata landing site and board a ferry to Luuku site on the side of Ssese Islands. On arrival in Kalangala district, we will head to Ssese Palm Beach Resort where we will be staying. This is situated at the most stunning and scenic location on Lutoboka peninsular. The resort is sandwiched between a long and very clean white sand beach in the south and west, and rich forest in the East and North.

Day 2

Following breakfast go for a forest walk to enjoy Uganda’s un disturbed forests and wildlife. Expect to see Monkey’s, bird species, butterflies, caves, medicinal plants, tree and mammal species. Return to Ssese Palm Beach for lunch.

After lunch, go for swimming in the dirt free, disease free and plain waters of Ssese Islands. Back to the resort for relaxation and overnight.

Day 3

This morning, you will take a walk to the Palm Plantations and view the raw materials that are going to be used to manufacture oil. You will also have an opportunity to visit the fishing villages and have a look at the different types of fish caught and the methods used. You will also interrelate with the fishermen to share their experience with you. Return to the resort for lunch.

Day 4

After a morning breakfast, we will head to Luuku Landing site and board the ferry to Bukakata. Drive to Masaka and en-route branch off to Nabugabo sand beach for bird watching and enjoy the cool breeze plus swimming.

We will stop over in Masaka for lunch then continue to Kampala branching off to Buwama Crocodile Farm. To see how crocodiles are kept in captivity.
